P.E.O. Chapter CA recently presented a scholarship to help a student pursue her doctoral degree. Meeting in Mathews at the home of chapter member Jan Delf, local P.E.O. president Jackie Wilton, at left, presented a $200 check to Jennifer McSweeney to assist her in purchasing software needed to complete a Ph.D. program in education. P.E.O. is one of the oldest women’s organizations in North America; the group’s mission is to celebrate the advancement of women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and the stewardship of Cottey College in Missouri. ...
