The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association will hold a spat sale and provide training on how to grow oysters from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Deltaville Maritime Museum Holly Point Market, 287 Jackson Creek Road. The two-hour training begins at 10. Local spat vendors will be selling Triploid and Diploid spat, and will feature equipment such as cages and floats, tumblers, spat bags, and high velocity water cages needed in some fast-flowing rivers and shorelines subject to storm waves.
