Oyster Cove expands showroom, storage facilities

Friday marked the maiden voyage for the expanded Oyster Cove Boatworks and Yacht Brokerage, as the Gloucester business celebrated the expansion of its showroom and storage facilities. 
In addition to sales of new vessels, the business services Mercury and Yamaha motors to complement its stock of Intrepid Powerboats, Tidewater, C-Hawk, Cobia and Pathfinder vessels. The construction included the addition of a 20,000-square-foot building that houses 24 large storage bays with 14 currently available for lease, a press release stated. Owner Chris Leigh stated that Oyster Cove Boatworks opened the new building having already leased many of the units, some with long-term tenants.
One such tenant, Paint Medic, is a detailing company specializing in high-end autos and vessels alike. “They saw the opportunity for growth in the marine industry on the Middle Peninsula and wanted to be a part of that,” Leigh said.
