Physician Assistant Allison Ovide of Mathews recently joined Riverside Fishing Bay Family Practice in Deltaville.Originally from Newport News, Ovide earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from James Madison University and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Bethel University.

“I really like working at Riverside,” she said.

After working at an urgent care facility for several years, Ovide decided that she wanted to develop relationships with her patients and liked the idea of providing continuity care for her patients.

Ovide was drawn to family medicine for the chance to form lasting relationships with a wide variety of patients and age groups. Believing in the importance of attentively listening to her patients, she is committed to remaining fully engaged during every interaction. Her ultimate goal is to help patients work through any concerns to ensure the healthiest, happiest life possible for each one.
