Naxera residents Mike and Clara Kelley opened the White Marsh Outlet store in the White Marsh Shopping Center on Wednesday. The couple said they hope the store, which offers a myriad of name-brand shoes, home and garden equipment, ladies’ handbags and more, will provide an opportunity for local residents not to have to travel to the Peninsula to purchase those items.

“We’re very competitive as far as prices,” Mike said. For example, a variety of ladies’ Sketcher sneakers are priced at $38. New Levi-brand jeans are for sale for $28 and a variety of styles of Sebago boat shoes are being sold at a discounted price.

“We’ve probably got the most exhaustive collection in Gloucester as far as boat shoes,” Mark said. “They are especially good if you do a lot of fishing like I do. I love them.”
