Ortiz named president of Gloucester Chamber

The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce has elected a new president of its Board of Directors for a two-year term—Jill Ortiz of Chesapeake Bank.

Ortiz is the assistant vice president and regional manager for the bank’s Middle Peninsula region. She joined Chesapeake in 2012 as a part-time teller, and has since worked as a customer service associate and then branch manager. With more than 20 years of banking experience, Ortiz is also a consumer lender at Chesapeake’s Gloucester locations.

“I want to keep things exciting for our Chamber board and our business members,” Ortiz said. “Coming out of the pandemic, I’m hopeful we can grow our Chamber again and help our members to become even more successful.”
