The Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board will hold a virtual REVIVE! opioid overdose and naloxone education training program from noon to 1 p.m. next Wednesday, Aug. 25.

REVIVE! provides training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency using naloxone, a prescription medicine. It works by temporarily blocking the effect of opioids and helps the person to breathe again. Naloxone is the generic name, but can be found under the brand names of Narcan and Evzio.
