Ophelia Johnson Forrest of Mathews, passed Friday, September 2, 2016.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George W. Forrest; daughter, Marlene Forrest Green; son and daughter-in-law, George S. Sr. and Rita S. Forrest; sister, Gladys T. White; brother, M. Stanley Johnson Sr. (Nancy); six grandchildren, Anthony D. Ware Jr., G. Steven Forrest Jr., David D. Forrest, Alexis L. Forrest, Regina Green and Roosevelt Green Jr.; six-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Saturday, September 10, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 9654 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews, with Pastor Jonathan Waldon officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 110 Antioch Road, Susan.

Viewing will be Friday, September 9, 2016, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 at First Baptist.
