An opening for “Simon Says,” the April show in the Bay School’s Art Speaks Gallery, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Main Street, Mathews. Finger food and drinks will be served.

For the show, each participating artist received two prompts that they had to incorporate into a piece of art. Artists had to step out of their comfort zones and stretch themselves to create artwork from their surprising prompts, said a press release, adding that the result is “some really fun and clever artwork.”

Submissions to the show include pottery, fiber, assemblage, multimedia and paintings.
