Open studio tour marks its 10th year

Artists living and working in Mathews County will open their studios on Thanksgiving weekend, Friday through Sunday, in the 10th anniversary of the Made In Mathews Open Studio Tour.

The studios will be open Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 27, from noon-5 p.m.

The tour is open to the public and free of charge. Tour maps are available at the Mathews County Visitors and Information Center located in Sibley’s General Store on Main Street in Mathews and on the tour website at www.madeinmathews.com.

Artists taking part include Lynn Abrams, jewelry and glass art; Kevin Lipnicki, furniture; Rosalie and Larry Brown, fiber and folk items; Larry Ashe, nautical art and still life; Wade and Susan Brooks, stained and blown glass; Rita Cutler, hooked rugs and glass shard windows;
