Chesapeake Bay Writers will continue is Open Mic Sundays series at 1 p.m. this Sunday, Jan. 8, at Mathews Memorial Library. The event is free and open to the public. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be served.

All writers are invited to participate, and people who enjoy listening to short stories, essays, or poetry are welcome to listen as local writers read their work.

Those interested in reading should arrive at 1 p.m. and sign up to be included on the program. Readers are limited to one of the following: prose up to 2,500 words, five poems of no more than 50 lines each, or five haiku.
