Chesapeake Bay Writers will have its monthly open mic for writers at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mathews Memorial Library.

All writers are invited to participate by reading their original prose up to 2,500 words or their original poetry consisting of five poems of no more than 50 lines each or five haiku.

The public is invited to attend, free of charge. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served.
