Online trainings offered

The Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board has a number of upcoming online trainings and classes.

The ongoing Nurturing Parenting program is held year-round from 6-8 p.m. each Tuesday. The cost is $25 for the handbook, and $25 per person 14-week session. Pre-registration by phone is required. Parents can enroll at any time.

Children First Virtual Co-Parenting Classes are offered from 4-8 p.m. on the following Thursdays (Dec. 14, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 21, April 18, May 16 and June 20). The cost is $50, to be paid one week prior to the scheduled class.

Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR), suicide prevention training, is offered from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 2.

ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Interface free training will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, Wednesday, March 6, and Wednesday, May 15.

REVIVE—Opioid overdose and naloxone education training—is held from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, April 9, and 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
