The Gloucester High School track and field team competed in the VHSL Region 4A Championships at Lakeland High School in Suffolk on Friday. Hannah Mullis earned first place in shot put and fifth in discus; Mohamed Erraji earned second in shot put, while breaking the GHS school record, and fourth in discus; and the boys’ 4x400 relay team of Izak Smith, Elijah Lemaster, Grayson Shield and Shawn Steverson earned third overall with a time of 3:26.60. With their performance at the regional championships, these athletes have qualified to compete in the VHSL Class 4 State Championships at Liberty University in Lynchburg on Friday.
