All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews closed at noon on Wednesday and will remain closed the rest of this week in observance of Thanksgiving.

Schools in both counties were closed all day Wednesday and will be also closed the remainder of the week.

DMV customer service centers are closed today through Saturday, reopening Monday for normal hours.

Libraries in Gloucester closed at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain closed through Friday, reopening with normal hours on Saturday. Mathews Memorial Library closed at noon on Wednesday and will remain closed through the weekend, reopening on Monday.

Post offices, waste facilities, and ABC stores in both counties are closed today only.
