All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed the remainder of the week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. on next Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday, reopening for normal hours on Saturday. Mathews Memorial Library will be closed next Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

DMV customer service centers will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Mathews schools will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed the rest of the week, while Gloucester schools will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Post offices, ABC stores, and waste facilities in both counties will be closed Thursday only. ...
