All courts, county offices, post offices, and DMV customer service centers in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.

Mathews schools will be closed both Friday, May 26, and Monday, while Gloucester schools will be closed Monday only.

Mathews Memorial Library will be closed Saturday through Monday, May 27-29, for the holiday, while Gloucester libraries will be closed Monday only.

Waste facilities in Gloucester will be closed on Monday, while the Mathews Transfer Station will be open.

ABC stores will be open, but will close early, at 6 p.m.
