Offices close Monday for July 4 holiday

All post offices, courts, county offices, schools, and DMV customer service centers in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Mathews Memorial Library will be closed Saturday through Monday, July 3, 4 and 5, while Gloucester libraries will be closed Monday only, with regular hours on Saturday. They are regularly closed on Sundays.

The Mathews Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, July 4, while waste facilities in Gloucester are always closed on Sundays. Waste facilities in both counties will be open on July 5.

ABC stores will be open for regular hours on July 4 and 5.
