All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon next Wednesday, Nov. 24, and remain closed through Friday, Nov. 26, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

DMV customer service centers will be closed Thursday through Saturday, while post offices, ABC stores, and waste facilities in both counties will be closed Thursday only.

Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed through Friday, reopening on Saturday for regular hours.

Mathews Memorial Library will close at noon on Wednesday and stay closed through the weekend, reopening on Monday, Nov. 29.

Gloucester schools will have early closings on Tuesday, Nov. 23, as follows: 12:20 p.m. for the high school, 12:30 p.m. for middle schools, and 1:30 p.m. for elementary schools. Mathews schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday.
