All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and remain closed the remainder of the week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Schools in Gloucester will be closed from Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 25 while Mathews schools will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed the rest of the week.

DMV customer service centers will be closed from Thursday through Saturday.

Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed through Friday, reopening for normal hours on Saturday. Mathews Memorial Library will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed through Saturday, reopening from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday for the annual Deck the Halls celebration.

Post offices, ABC stores, and all waste facilities in both counties will be closed on Thanksgiving Day only. ...
