All courts in Gloucester and Mathews and all county offices in Mathews will be closed Friday through Monday in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

County offices in Gloucester, post offices, and the EZ Pass office will be closed Monday only.

DMV customer service centers and Gloucester libraries will be closed Saturday through Monday, while Mathews Memorial Library will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and remain closed until Tuesday morning.

ABC stores in Gloucester and Mathews will be open regular hours on Saturday, but will close at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Gloucester waste facilities will be open for regular hours throughout the holiday period. The Mathews Transfer Station will be closed on New Year’s Day but otherwise will have regular hours.

All schools remain closed until Jan. 2.
