All courts, county offices, and post offices in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The E-Z Pass office will also be closed Monday.
DMV customer service centers will be closed as well, but customers are encouraged to conduct transactions online at www.dmvnow.com or via telephone by calling 1-888-337-4782.
The Gloucester and Mathews libraries will be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for the holiday.
School board offices in both counties will be closed Monday only for the holiday. However, they will also be closed on Fridays throughout the summer.
The Gloucester landfill will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4, while convenience centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The waste transfer station in Mathews will be closed for the holiday.
ABC stores will be open until 6 p.m. Monday.
