All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed next Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the Christmas holiday.

Post offices will be closed next Friday only, while DMV customer service centers will be closed Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 24-26.

Schools in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed from Monday, Dec. 21 through Friday, Jan. 1, reopening on Monday, Jan. 4.

Gloucester libraries will close early at 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the holiday. Mathews Memorial Library will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 27.

ABC stores will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, and will be closed on Christmas Day.

The Mathews Transfer Station will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, and reopen Saturday for regular hours. Gloucester waste facilities will be closed on Christmas Day. ...
