Odds-N-Ends opens at Gloucester Point

Odds-N-Ends opened for business in early December at Gloucester Point.

The new store is located beside the Gloucester Point Post Office, in a building owned by the Poland family who ran a market next door for many years. Sheila Poland Tinker of Yorktown owns the new business.

Tinker said she sells both new and used items. Some of the inventory comes from her family’s possessions.

The small store—open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays—is filled with clothing for men, women and children. In addition, there are lots of tools for sale.

Knick-knacks, housewares, jewelry, candles, glassware and much more are for sale. There were lots of Christmas ornaments for sale in the weeks before the holiday. Tinker previously worked as the bookkeeper at Poland’s Supermarket at Gloucester Point for 20 years. Also, she was a delivery driver for Yorktown Flower shop for five years.

Originally from Gloucester, Tinker is a graduate of Gloucester High School.
