Nurtury to host local authors’ event Friday

The Nurtury, on Main Street in Gloucester, will host its “Local Authors’ Signing Day” event from noon to 3 p.m. Friday.Featured work includes the Nurtury’s own Alexis Powell and R.S. Powell II, a sister and brother duo who co-wrote “The Tales of the Hedge Twins,” which is the first in a trilogy of interconnected epic journeys across time, space and genres.Alexis Powell will also have her book, “Sanctuary of the White Witch,” the first in a trilogy of coming-of-age magical adventures, available for purchase.

Other authors who will be signing at the event include Carolyn South who wrote “Kadelia Stops Going to School” and Janice Hoffman who will be signing copies of her book, “Four Fairy Friends.”

Mary Montague Sikes will also be at the signing with her books, “Artful Angels,” “Hearts Across Forever,” “Spirit Visions Soul Songs,” and “An Artful Animal Alphabet.”
