Now, more than ever

Global political tensions are rising and by the way, the temperature is rising too.

Oil tankers are being seized, harsh words emanate from the capitals of many nations, raising the geopolitical temperature, and by the way, the physical temperature is rising too.

It’s all about the oil. And the renewables.

While the United States is moving toward greater independence from Middle Eastern energy sources, it is not, on a parallel course, doing much to encourage development of renewable energy sources.

Every proposal for wind and solar power stations seems to come with some argument that they have their own bad environmental impacts. But there’s little argument that they reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, the gas said responsible for greenhouse warming effects in our atmosphere, melting of polar ice caps, and rising temperatures.
