November’s ballots are set

The slates of local candidates are set for the November 2 general election, with both Gloucester and Mathews fielding multiple candidates for the board of supervisors and school board, while Gloucester has one candidate running unopposed for clerk of circuit court.

Gloucester

In the Gloucester Board of Supervisors race, Petsworth District Supervisor Michael R. Winebarger will be facing off against challenger Ken W. Gibson, and At-large Supervisor Kevin M. Smith will work to fend off Teresa L. Altemus.

Gloucester’s School Board race will consist of Petsworth District incumbent Anita F. Parker running against Karen L. Espinoza, and York District incumbent Elisa A. Nelson battling Carlton L. “Drew” Drew.

Running unopposed are York District Supervisor Phillip N. Bazzani, At-large School Board candidate Kellie L. Lockerby, and Circuit Court Clerk Cathy L. Dale.
