Northern Neck Orchestra to present ‘Clarinet Trios’ on Sept. 10

The Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2023-2024 Chamber Music series will open with “Clarinet Trios” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10 at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, featuring violinist Moises Cunha, clarinetist Iura de Rezende and pianist André Golbert.

The performance will feature music by Aram Khachaturian, Darius Milhaud, Olivier Messiaen, Igor Stravinsky and Paul Schoenfield.

Season tickets for the chamber music series are $132. Single tickets for “Clarinet Trios” are $35. Tickets may be purchase online at www.northernneckorchestra.org and at the door.

“We will be showcasing the luminous color and emotional range of the clarinet for first time in our chamber music series,” said Cunha, who is the Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Series and Concertmaster and Principal Violinist of the Northern Neck Orchestra. “The music will be moving, sometimes mysterious and often pure fun.”
