The Northern Neck Orchestra will perform the Virginia premiere of composer Jessie Montgomery’s “Rounds for Strings and Piano” at a matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 15. The concert also will feature Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

The performance at the Northumberland High School Theater, 201 Academic Lane, in Heathsville begins at 3 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by music director Michael Repper at 2:15.

Tickets for the concert are $40. Tickets for the entire four-concert 2023-2024 season are $128, including a special holiday concert on Dec. 16 in Kilmarnock. All tickets may be purchased online at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
