Norman W. Kemp, 82, of Port Haywood, Va., went to be with his Lord, with his family by his bedside on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

He was predeceased by his mother, Marguerite Armistead Kemp and his uncle, Rob E. Diggs.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years of marriage, Gladys Mitchem Kemp; three daughters, Norma Kemp, Paula Cullison (Bill), and Valerie Smith (Harry); three grandsons, and nine great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a carpenter from Federal Civil Service at the U.S. Naval Weapons Station with over 30 years of dedicated service.

The family received friends on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service was held at 2 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan, Virginia.
