Norman S. Mickelborough, age 48, of Gloucester, Va., a native of Bohannon in Mathews, Va., departed this life on Saturday, July 25, 2015, in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Norman briefly served as a member of the Mathews Volunteer Fire Dept., Bohannon Station #2. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Garnett Lee and Doris Mickelborough; a brother, Robert and his wife Rhonda Mickelborough; a sister, Sue Mickelborough; aunt, Anne South; an uncle, Johnny Mickelborough; a special cousin, Wilson Roane, as well as many other cousins and friends.

The family received friends at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel at 11 o’clock; burial followed at Providence Cemetery.
