NORMAN B. WYATT

Norman B. Wyatt of Port Haywood, Va., died Feb. 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his entire immediate family. He was 82. A proud veteran of the Korean War, he served overseas with the Air Force. He was a member in good standing of Masonic Lodge 347, Tuckahoe Lodge. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, having driven over 40 years with Companies including Safeway, Johnson Motor Lines, and UPS. Born in Durham, N.C., in 1938, his life took many turns over many mountains and valleys and he always acknowledged “Almighty God as his help getting through it all.” Eventually he met the love of his life, Catherine “Joyce,” as he once said, “That’s all I ever needed.”

Norman’s life was shattered in April 2020 when his beloved Joyce died. He was her caretaker through some very difficult times, and now they are together again, forever.

He was blessed to have in his life, Linda and James (Sonny) Luellen, who helped him immeasurably to cope with life without Joyce, something they probably don’t even realize.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va. on Wednesday, April 28, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter in memory of Wyatts’s pet, Tom.
