In celebration of National Poetry Month, The Nook, the Gloucester Main Street bookstore and gift shop, will be holding Poetry Night on Saturday from 6:30-8 p.m. The event will feature a reading and book signing from local poets Ryan Babarsky and M.P. Slaughter. Babarsky is the author of “Flowers and Fire” and Slaughter’s book is “Until the Cardinals Carry Me Home.” Attendees are invited to read their own original poetry during the event. There will be music, refreshments and a welcoming space for both seasoned and new poets alike. The event is free and open to the public to attend.
