Nominations close Friday for Gloucester chamber awards

Friday at noon is the deadline for people to nominate the Gloucester businesses, professionals and organizations that stand out from the crowd to have a chance at winning several Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce Business and Community Awards.

Awards include Small Business of the Year, Nonprofit Organization of the Year, Best New Business, LOVE Gloucester and Professional of the Year. Only one ballot per person can be submitted, but votes can be placed in any or all five categories, according to Gloria Williams, the chamber’s executive director.

She said members of the Gloucester chamber do not have to be located in Gloucester County to be considered. However, non-chamber members must be located in Gloucester to be considered. It is not necessary to be a chamber member to be nominated.

Award recipients will be names at the chamber’s Mardi Gras Ball and Business and Community Awards Reception Feb. 16. For more information, visit www.gloucestervachamber.org.  ...
