Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Christmas and Holiday Parade grand marshal.

Nominations should include a letter of nomination, a few paragraphs about why your nominee should be chosen and any lists of organizations or activities that your nominee has been associated with. Additional letters from others endorsing your nominee are also helpful. All nominations should be sent to: Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism, 6382 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061 by Monday, Nov. 8.

Registration is underway for entries for the parade, which will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 along Main Street. The fees are $20 (business) and $10 (nonprofits); schools and county government entries are free. The deadline to register is Nov. 14 or when the parade reaches 60 entries.
