No one injured after school bus sideswiped

A 17-year-old Hayes resident was charged with failing to stay right of center on the roadway after her vehicle sideswiped a Gloucester County school bus last week, according to state police Sgt. J.A. Teagle. 

Teagle said the bus was westbound on Hickory Fork Road just west of Route 17 on Tuesday, Feb. 6, when it was struck by an eastbound 2002 Jeep Liberty that crossed the centerline and sideswiped the bus. He said no one was injured in the 7:35 a.m. accident and no children were aboard the bus. 

Teagle said damages to the Jeep were estimated at $3,000 and damages to the bus at $2,000. He said the investigating trooper noted that the Jeep driver’s vision may have been obscured by sunlight. ...
