NN Vegetable Growers announce scholarship winners

The Northern Neck Vegetable Growers Association announced its 2026 NNVGA scholarship winners. In first place in the four-year scholarship program, winning $4,000, is Chloe Garner of Montross. Garner graduated from Light of the World Academy in 2025 and will be a sophomore at Oklahoma State University in the fall. She is double majoring in Agriculture Education and Animal Science. She plans to become a high school agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. In second place, winning $3,000, is Brie O’Bier of Warsaw. O’Bier graduated from Rappahannock High School in May 2025 and will be a sophomore at Virginia Tech in the fall. She is majoring in Food Science and Technology with a minor in Global Food Security and Health. She plans to pursue a career in produce food safety. Third-place winners, each winning $1,000, are Taylor Mitchell from Heathsville, and Faith Lewis from Cobbs Creek.
