NICHOLAS ANTHONY LISI

Nicholas Anthony Lisi, 93, of Hayes, passed away March 31, 2017 with family at his side. 

He graduated from high school in New Brunswick, New Jersey, served his country in the U.S. Navy, and married Mildred Caggiano in Bay Shore, New York, where they raised their family while owning and operating a business, Nick’s Service Center.

Nick and Mildred moved to Gloucester, in the 1980s. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He lived life to the fullest, accepting challenges that came his way, never complaining and greeting each day with a smile, always ready to help someone in need. Nick will be missed, but his memory will always be with us.

He was preceded in death by parents, Mike and Rosa Lisi; wife, Mildred Lisi; his special friend, Bobby Brown, and brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Lisi, Richard Lisi (Carol), Donna Lisi Murano (Andrew) and Robert Lisi (Lisa); nine grandchildren, Christina, Veronica, Christopher, Marissa, Jiana, Lindsay, Amanda, Nolan and Maria; many wonderful friends and neighbors, and special friend, Sandra Dehart.

Graveside service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Family and friends were asked to assemble at the cemetery.

In memory of Nick, the family desires contributions be given to the Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 9, Bena, Virginia 23018.
