Gwynn’s Island: Miss Maggie Adams, who has been visiting friends on Gwynn’s Island, has returned to her home in New Point. Miss Pearl Blake gave a birthday party last Wednesday. All seemed to enjoy themselves very much. Mr. Jim Jenkins’s son fell from a tree last Thursday, and was badly hurt, but is much better at this writing.

Notice to Teachers: The regular spring examination for Teacher’s Certificates will take place at Gloucester C.H. Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3, commencing at 9:30 a.m. All persons who desire to teach must have a duly certified certificate. During the progress of the war this regulation could not be empowered for many reasons; but now, no one can be employed who has not a certificate in full force. Please remember this. —R.A.
