New teachers

Gloucester Public Schools welcomed about 60 new teachers Monday at the T.C. Walker Education Center. Above, new teacher Rebecca Coleman of Williamsburg, seated, sought some guidance from GPS instructional technology resource teacher Patricia Dowdy after laptop computers were distributed to the new faculty members. Gloucester expects to have 66 new teachers and school nurses along with about 30 new support services staffers for the 2021-2022 school year, which begins for students on Aug. 30.
