New school topic of joint board meeting

The new Page Middle School will be the first topic of conversation during a joint meeting next week of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors and Gloucester School Board. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Thomas Calhoun Walker Education Center auditorium.

The two boards are expected to discuss the projected operational costs at the new school and an update on the progress of construction on the school.

Also, the two boards are expected to discuss the implications and/or benefits of having a consolidated transportation facility that would be used by both the county government and school staff.

Finally, the two boards will discuss a comprehensive plan for the school division, school capital projects and its joint meetings and budget schedules. ...
