New Page School nearly 70 percent complete

While Gloucester middle school students were having their Thanksgiving break, some of their teachers and school administrators got a look at the interior of the new Page Middle School. 

The new $28 million school is being built on T.C. Walker Road and is 60 to 70 percent complete, according to Scott Shorland, the construction manager for Gloucester Public Schools. Shorland said the site supervisor has assured him that the school is on track for its scheduled opening in the fall of 2015. 

The Nov. 25 tour was primarily for teachers who are most involved with technology or most likely to utilize a lot of technology in their classrooms. 

The tour group included several instructional technology resource teachers, or ITRT’s, who are tasked with assisting other teachers with integrating technology with their instruction in the most effective manner.
