Brothers Lawrence and Kevin Fuccella have expanded their family of car washes, and in July they purchased the automated car wash at Mathews Court House from Billy Cook.

The you-clean-it bays of the wash are open, and since the purchase, they have been working hard to open the drive-through bay of the car wash. They said the supply chain issues that are plaguing businesses around the world are having a similar effect in Mathews, and the parts just aren’t available.

Lawrence Fuccella, an Urbanna resident, said he hopes The Auto Spa of Mathews will be fully open by the end of October or beginning of November, offering Mathews residents the convenience of a drive-through car wash but without the sometimes-damaging effects of brushes and the debris they can pick up. Instead, the new equipment is touch-free, he said, using professional hot Turtle Wax products to clean and shine vehicles.
