Split Enz, a salon and spa located on Main Street, Gloucester, is under new ownership. Samantha Wills-George purchased the 10-year-old business of Symone Reisner at the end of May. Wills-George owns the business and leases the building.
Reisner is working in the shop with the new owner through June. Wills-George said she plans to bring in two other stylists in August and will hold a grand opening later this summer.
Wills-George said Split Enz offers haircuts, perms, custom coloring (including the popular ombre technique and pastel shades), manicures, pedicures and a room for massage and body care. She specializes in the "total look concept," which takes into account a client’s lifestyle, hair personality and body. Services are offered for men and women.
Wills-George has 19 years’ hair care experience, including being operations manager for the Chesapeake-based chain Salon Vivace and a stylist at a Richmond salon. This is her first time owning a salon.
