New management at Cobbs Creek restaurant

Farmhouse Restaurant and Deli in Cobbs Creek is under new management.

Amy Hudgins of Cobbs Creek has taken over the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Owner Jonnie Forrest and her family have relocated to Ashland for a job opportunity for her husband, Perry.

Hudgins said that Perry Forrest will continue to do the smoking for the restaurant’s barbecue, brisket, and ribs, and that much of the menu will remain the same, including Jonnie Forrest’s popular spaghetti.

However, Hudgins said she will now be making the sides according to her own recipes, including potato salad, macaroni salad, baked potato and green beans. She will also offer daily specials of such off-menu items as homemade soups, specialty sandwiches, and casseroles. Among the sandwiches will be a Rodeo Burger with onion rings, pickles, and barbecue sauce and a chicken Caesar sandwich. Casserole specials might include tuna noodle, hamburger, or chicken and biscuits, among others.
