Prof. W.E. Moncure has been elected principal of the Cobbs Creek school, Mathews County. The school is a large one and Professor Moncure will have four teachers under him.Miss Lizzie Diggs, an aged resident of Laban, died last Saturday night between the hours of 9 and 10 o’clock, the cause being due to paralysis. In hers as well as in every other death we are but reminded of the fact that the young may die but the old must die. Let us therefore be ready whenever the summons comes.
