New healthful ideas from Gloucester businesses that share space

Two Gloucester entrepreneurial women have brought new ideas to the town. Ra’chel Cuba and Lorraine Walsh are operating two businesses at the same location at Gloucester Court House, Ra’chel’s Juices and Smoothies and Good Life Kitchen.

Both promote the idea of serving foods and drinks for “healthy, clean eating.”

Their ventures were made possible through the Virginia Community Business Launch which brought new businesses to Main Street in Gloucester in 2015.

A Gloucester native, Ra’chel is in business for the first time but not without a lot of experience in what she provides. “I had business courses in college and my mom taught me to cook at about the age of six. I was always in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother.”

Ra’chel’s smoothies come in various flavors. “Our mixed berry smoothie is perhaps the most popular. Like all the smoothies it’s made of all natural and organic products. Very filling.”
