Hair On Main is the newest hair salon to open on Gloucester’s Main Street. Owners and stylists Deanna Miner and Mandy Alston officially opened their doors on May 1 and celebrated their grand opening on Friday.

“We wanted to add a little modern touch to Gloucester’s historic charm,” said Miner. Hair On Main is located at 6655 Main Street, in the same building as Sweet Tooth Bakery and Café.

Hair On Main offers a variety of services, including haircuts, color, permanent wave, Brazilian Blowouts and styling. The salon also offers brow, lip, chin and face waxing.

Miner and Alston, who have 20 years and 17 years of experience, respectively, decided to open their salon a month ago.“Together we decided to take a leap of faith,” said Miner.

The two owners became friends through their significant others, Ryan Vanhoudt and Adam Marble.
