Vicky DuFour has been named the new general manager of Hometown Rentals at Shoppes of Gloucester located on Route 17 south of the village.

DuFour, who resides in King and Queen County, was promoted to manager of the Gloucester store in mid-February. Previously, she was an account manager of the Hometown Rentals store in West Point.

Cheryl Rowe of Gloucester, is the assistant manager. She began working at the Gloucester store in August, after having worked at the Hometown Rentals store in Kilmarnock.

District manager Bruno Cossu of Suffolk, praised DuFour and said she has earned her spot as a store manager

Hometown Rentals specializes in rent to own, Cossu said, which rents items such as electronics, appliances and furniture to customers before purchase.
The Gloucester store, located near Ollie’s, is filled with modern furniture, foam mattresses, appliances, 3D televisions and other electronics.
