New church forms in Gloucester, meeting at Beaverdam

A new church has started in Gloucester with the mission, “Go Ye: Love God—Serve People.” Restoration Church is under the leadership of Pastor Wendy Roundy of Gloucester, who said the church fosters a casual atmosphere and sincere intimacy with Jesus.

According to Roundy, the Word of God is taught and modeled. The group worships together and has several songs, prayer and Bible teaching within the message. Sunday services begin at 11 a.m. and are streamed live on the church’s Facebook page. She said the church also has a mid-week message and a Friday children’s message, each of which are also streamed live.

The church does not have a permanent location yet. Roundy said the group rotates its meeting in various people’s homes and is currently meeting at Whitcomb Lodge at Beaverdam Park. She said the church is currently seeking other meeting places.
